They tell her this is the time of her life. But she doesn’t feel it. She doesn’t sense it. She just doesn’t buy it.
For her there is still this incessant need to bridge these thoughts of hers to her sleepless nights. Her walls are boarded with restlessness and she has half a million reasons to everything. She has this paranoia in the back of her mind and it will soon manifest itself to her heart. She looks up and sees a flickering light, from the candle that only illuminates memories. She hears distant melodies on the radio. Perhaps these hideaway hymns can be comforting. She only wants to do nothing. She wants to hibernate in her senses. She wants to denounce the day and the night. Please? Only for a little while? She wants all the could haves and might haves and should haves to go away. Please? Only for a little while?
They tell her this is the steady path. But she doesn’t feel it. She doesn’t sense it. She just doesn’t buy it.
For her there is still coldness in the air and dryness in the mouth. There is bitterness all around, and it stings and hurts her to the core. She say, “Excuse me, but will this go away”? She looks up and realizes it is nothing more than a tragic moment. She is haunted with boundless feelings. She says, “Excuse me, but can you make this go away?” She looks up and realizes it is nothing more than a bad stomach ache.
They tell her the only thing that shines is chaos. And she feels it. And she senses it. And she just buys it.
