Sheikh Amer Hassan's murder has opened a Pandora's box of hypocrisy and double standards that are not very palatable. One feels that rather than whitewash the truth, one should let it remain open and deal with the demons that come out.Talking about these issues would be in the best interests of everyone. -Muniba Kamal, InStyle
*although i do not agree or do no believe or pass any sort of judgment on her article, i do feel that this is a step forward for our society to TALK about homosexuality, and to realize that it's there to stay...it does not go away by merely neglecting its culture. it is apparent EVERYWHERE in Muslim countries & societies, yet we conveniently ignore its presence...which makes it a taboo of sort leading us to dabble in hatred, injustice, judgments, and criticism. perhaps, if we can learn to accept, and respect each other...we would all be better Muslims. Eh.
